DriverSide.com Expands With Two New Executives

Michael Moskowitz to Serve as VP of Business Development; Kevin Root to Serve as VP of Product Strategy

SAN FRANCISCO July 09, 2009 – DriverSide.com, the first and only website dedicated to the car owner, today announced Michael Moskowitz as Vice President of Business Development and Kevin Root as Vice President of Product Strategy. Moskowitz brings more than 15 years of experience as an innovative leader, entrepreneur and marketing pioneer to DriverSide. In his role at DriverSide, he will lead the sales arm of the organization and will have responsibility for driving the development customer ’Garages.’ Root has more than 20 years of industry experience and has been recognized by J.D. Power and Associates as one of the original automotive Internet pioneers. In his role at DriverSide, Root will be in charge of improving existing programs and features as well as leading the design of new ones.

Moskowitz developed several of the earliest consumer software and online marketing programs for companies including Sony, McDonalds, Phillip Morris, Mazda and General Motors. Prior to joining DriverSide, Moskowitz was the founder and CEO of MyCarPage, one of the automotive industry’s first online customer acquisition and retention solutions. Started by Moskowitz in 1994, MyCarPage (formerly known as Everyware) developed the first vehicle owner’s manual designed for use by consumers on their home computer.

Root holds deep automotive internet experience. He has held roles at MSN Autos, the Cobalt Group and most recently as vice president of product strategy and marketing at Dealix, where he drove strategy for UsedCars.com. Throughout his career, Root has helped dealers and OEMs create new methods and tools to improve their sales. He speaks often at industry and OEM conferences, and has been published in Automotive News, the J.D. Power Online Automotive Quarterly Review, Wards Dealer Business, USA Today, and CNN.
